Shweta Adhikari is a graduate student currently in her second year of Masters in Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Georgia. She comes from a beautiful country Nepal. She has a technical and analytical background in Agriculture with an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Science. In addition, she has experiences engaging with international institutions and organizations focused on development. She has participated in prestigious conferences like UNESCO Asia Pacific Youth Dialogue, Harvard Project for Asians and International Relations, UNLEASH Innovation Lab as a representative of Nepal and agriculture student.
Currently, she is working on finalizing her thesis on the topic “Effects of Tariffs and Trade Policies on Global Palm Trade”. Also, she is involved in other projects out of her thesis. She is working on papers that are focused on the effects of the US-China trade war on the cotton and textile industry. Her interest lies in agricultural trade, policy analysis, and development. After completing her master's degree, she wants to work in a development organization that focuses on Global South.
Shweta is currently seeking full time employment.
