Vivian Vuong is a 4th year PhD student studying Biological Systems Engineering at UC Davis. She also completed her Bachelor of Science in Biological Systems Engineering at UC Davis. Her research interests are bringing automation, machine learning, and machine vision techniques into agricultural processes. Vivian’s interest in agricultural robotics led her to co-develop the Ag-Botics team at UC Davis in her undergrad, as a PhD student she is currently the Ag-Botics lead advisor. Her past projects include developing an automated weed control system and designing an automated tomato grading system. Currently she is working on a high-throughput phenotyping system to help aid plant breeders in developing higher quality plants and produce.
