Craig Yunker (BS ’73 Cornell University; MS ’75 University of New Hampshire) is managing partner of CY Farms, a diversified farming entity in western New York (Elba) whose enterprises include vegetables and field crops, and Batavia Turf, a commercial turf grass sod business. He is also managing partner of CY Heifer Farm, a 4000-head dairy replacement facility. Mr. Yunker graduated with a degree in agricultural economics from Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life sciences in 1973 and with an MS degree in resource economics from the University of New Hampshire in 1975. He served four years on the Small Business Advisory Committee of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York; he chaired that committee from 1999-2000.

Mr. Yunker’s agricultural experiences also include service as a farm management specialist with Cornell Cooperative Extension and as a financial consultant with New York Farm Net. He is a member of the Association of Agricultural Production Executives (AAPEX) and served as President of that group during 1998-99. He currently serves as a Director the Farm Foundation and Trustee of the Legge Lowden Trust. He is a director of the New York State Agricultural Society. He was a delegate of the first agricultural trade mission to Cuba from New York State in 2008 and is a graduate of the Lead New York leadership program. He previously served as Vice Chair of the New York State Soil & Water Conservation Committee.

Among his other interests, Mr. Yunker serves as a trustee of Cornell University. He is a director of Tompkins Financial Services, Inc., and of the Bank of Castile. He is a director of the Genesee County Economic Development Center and Liberty Pumps. He previously served as Chairman of the Genesee County Legislature and as trustee of the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, New York.
