Del has more than 40 years of production agricultural and food industry experience working in the Oilseed Crushing and Refining Industries for Cargill Incorporated. At Cargill, he spent 18 years managing the market risk, P&L and sales and general management responsibilities for soybean crushing and vegetable oil refining assets in various locations throughout the US.
As founding partner and Executive Vice President at Elevance Renewable Sciences he served as a Senior Leader in a multi-million startup business to build the world’s first world-scale bio-refinery in the Specialty Chemical industry. He served on the Senior Leadership Team in various capacities including EVP-International Market Development, EVP-Supply Chain and EVP-Sustainability.
In addition, he served for Synthetic Genomics as Interim CEO of a NewCo which produces Algal Protein and Omega 3 products. Today, Del is a Business Consultant assisting new startups develop and communicate their strategies and raise capital.
Del holds a BS in Public Affairs from the School of Public Environmental Affairs at Indiana University and an MBA from Krannert School of Business at Purdue University.
A past board member of the Wichita Agribusiness Council, Purdue School of Agriculture’s Advisory Council and Tom Farms LLC Advisory Board he currently serves on the Program Committee for the Farm Foundation.
