Sun Ling Wang is a senior economist with the Structure, Technology, and Productivity Branch at the USDA's Economic Research Service. Her responsibilities include planning and implementing the U.S. agricultural productivity program and conducting evidence-based, policy-relevant economic research on the causes and effects of productivity growth. Her research has focused on productivity measurement and issues affecting either long-term productivity growth or short-term variations—such as science policies (R&D), energy shocks, and climatic effects.

Sun Ling received her Ph.D. in agricultural economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; and an M.S. and B.S. in agricultural economics from National Chung-Hsing University, Taiwan.
