Richard Perrin has been a professor and researcher in the field of agricultural economics first at North Carolina State University and then at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, where he is Roberts Professor of Agricultural Economics. He worked for two years at CIMMYT in Mexico (International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center) and has taken sabbatical leaves at U.C. Davis and at Iowa State U. He has researched issues related to the market and welfare impacts of public policies affecting agriculture and natural resources and on the causes of and consequences of agricultural productivity.
