Jon Samuels is Chief of the National Accounts Research and Analysis Group at the Bureau of Economic Analysis working on advancing the measurement of technological change and the sources of economic growth. His work has been published in scholarly economics journals, featured in the popular press, and formed the basis for publication of the BEA-BLS Integrated industry-level Production Account. Samuels was awarded the U.S. Department of Commerce Gold Medal for his contributions to economic measurement.
