Dr. Tong Wang is an Associate Professor and Advanced Production Specialist at South Dakota State University. She has done extensive research on the economic benefits of agricultural conservation practices, farmer decisions, and government policy implications. Dr. Wang has led or participated in multiple USDA funded projects and analyzed the sustainability of farming and ranching systems, provided socioeconomic analysis in multi-institute and interdisciplinary projects. Her research shed insights on the socioeconomic perspectives of sustainable agriculture.
Dr. Wang has published 46 peer-reviewed papers in high-impact agricultural economics journals and interdisciplinary journals. She has further demonstrated her research findings to agricultural producers and policy makers though extension articles, fact sheets, webinars, and educational events.
