Raymon Shange is the 1890 Extension Administrator, Director of the Carver Integrative Sustainability Center (CISC), and Associate Dean of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences in the College of Agriculture, Environment and Nutrition Sciences at Tuskegee University. Raymon has degrees in biosciences and philosophy and directs his professional interests towards sustainable development with tools and strategies for natural resource management and regeneration in limited resource contexts. He serves as Vice Chair of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Farm, Ranch, and Rural Communities Committee (FRRCC), Chair of the Professional Development Committee and member of the Executive Committee of Southern Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SSARE), and Board Chair for the Southern Rural Development Center, as well as serving on the Boards for Agricultural Missions Inc. and the Council on Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics (C-FARE).

In his Administrator/Director role at Tuskegee University he provides daily oversight of Applied Research, Extension, and Student Experiential Learning programs in the Alabama Black Belt and beyond. Programs of note that he has contributed to include Climate Smart Agriculture (Soil Health), Urban Agriculture/Food Systems Program and Future Farmers and Agricultural Specialists (Workforce Development). The programs focus their community development initiatives in technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and food systems innovation through its three demonstration sites in the Alabama Black Belt: the Black Belt Marketing and Innovation Center (Selma, AL), George Washington Agricultural Experiment Station (Tuskegee, AL), and the Tuskegee University Urban Agriculture Innovation Center (Montgomery, AL). 

Raymon shares this life with his beautiful wife and partner Thandiwe, and their four children. They are residents of Tuskegee, Alabama. Raymon enjoys traveling, painting, and music in his time away from work and study.
