Dr. Zachariah Rutledge is an assistant professor and campus-based extension specialist in the Department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics at Michigan State University. He received training as an applied economist at the University of California, Davis where he earned his Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics in 2020. Rutledge’s research focuses on policy-issues related to farm labor markets in the United States (US). His current research explores the link between US farm labor issues and the resilience of US agricultural supply chain. His research is sought after by government agencies, law firms, and industry groups.
