Andrew J. Padovani is the Director of the National Agricultural Workers Survey. The NAWS is a nationwide employment-based, random-sample survey of U.S. crop workers collecting demographic, employment, and health data in face-to-face interviews. Prior to the NAWS, Dr. Padovani managed and contributed to large-scale surveys used in statewide evaluations of mental health intervention programs funded by the California Department of Mental Health Services such as the California State Evaluation and Learning Support for SB-82 Triage Grants, the evaluation and research component of the EPI-CAL Learning Healthcare Network, and the evaluation of San Joaquin County’s Homeward Bound Initiative. Dr. Padovani holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California-Davis where he specialized in econometric and survey research methodology with applications to labor and immigration economics. He currently resides in the Sacramento Valley with his wife and two children.
