Tyler Strom is managing director of the Illinois Agri-Food Alliance (ILAFA) and has been involved with the organization since the development of the FARM Illinois RoadMap in 2014. Prior to his current role, Strom was a fellow of global agriculture and food at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs. A fourth-generation farmer, Strom also produces row-crops and mixed specialty crops on his family farm in Kane County. Strom is a previous McCloy Fellow and Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar and specializes in agri-food systems, sustainability, food supply chains, local/regional food systems, multi-stakeholder collaboratives, and systems thinking. He earned his BSc in agricultural business and economics from Iowa State University and his MSc in environmental studies and sustainability science from Lund University in Sweden.
