Stephanie McBath joined NASDA as Associate Director of Public Policy in December 2022 and as of 2024 is Director of Public Policy. In her role, she staffs the Animal Agriculture and the Natural Resources and Environment Policy Committees and handles issues related to agricultural labor (H-2A), conservation, Waters of the United States (WOTUS), climate, livestock, and foreign animal disease. Stephanie previously served as Senior Legislative Assistant for Congressman Dan Newhouse (WA-04) where she managed a robust policy portfolio, including appropriations, energy, water, tribal issues, broadband, and other areas. Before that, she served as a Legislative and Press Assistant for Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (NY-21), her home Congressional district. Stephanie earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science and a minor in business from Cornell University. Stephanie has a background in the dairy industry and is originally from upstate New York.
