Ashton Redd is from Casa Grande, Arizona where her passion for agriculture started at a young age. She began her journey showing livestock at the Pinal County Fair, which she did for 9 years through both 4-H and FFA. After serving as the State FFA President for Arizona FFA in 2020-2021, she worked as the State Staff consultant where she helped manage the State Officer team and oversaw the success of state leadership events.
In addition, she is pursuing two Bachelor of Science degrees at the University of Arizona one in Agribusiness Economics and a second in Environment Water Resource Economics with minors in Government Public Policy and Community Innovation.
Throughout the last three years of her undergraduate career, Ashton has been involved in many student organizations that advocate and spread awareness for the agriculture industry. Currently, she is an Ambassador for the College of Agriculture, Life, and Environmental Sciences, Vice President for the Alpha Rho chapter of the Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority, and an active member of the University’s Young Farmers and Ranchers chapter.
After graduating in May of 2024, she plans to attend law school to receive a Juris Doctorate. Having always had a passion and deep interest in water in Arizona, she aspires to make an impact as a water rights and policy attorney. Because she was always surrounded by those greatly affected by decisions at the top, she aims to ensure farmers are protected and future generations have the opportunity to thrive.
