Danny Bernstein is founder and CEO of Reservoir. Reservoir is agriculture’s technical community — a new rural institution that combines an agricultural innovation platform with an early-stage VC fund to accelerate rugged physical AI in outdoor industries, especially agriculture.
Reservoir Farms are the world’s first on-farm robotics communities, starting in the American West and forming partnerships globally. Reservoir VC backs startups addressing critical challenges in agriculture that compound to other outdoor industries and across the rugged physical AI stack. By combining R&D space, hands-on grower input, and early-stage capital, Reservoir helps turn promising ideas into technology that accelerate resilience.
Before founding Reservoir, Danny spent a decade at Google as a Managing Director in the Global Business Organization and later served as a Partner at Microsoft. He joined Google through the acquisition of Meebo ($100M).
Danny has spoken at the USDA Agricultural Outlook Forum, Organic Growers Summit, FIRA USA, World AgriTech, and the California Economic Summit on the role of technology in agricultural resilience. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, the BBC, Inc. Magazine, the Silicon Valley Business Journal, AgNavigator, and AgFunder.
Danny serves on advisory boards and committees for the agricultural schools at the University of California, Davis and Fresno State University. He studied at the University of California, Davis, and completed the executive program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He lives on the Central Coast of California with his wife and two children.
