As the Director of Water & Natural Resources for FFVA, Kerry monitors and engages in State and Federal-level legislation and regulations pertaining to water use and quality, water-supply planning, wetlands, property rights, sustainability, and climate change.  Additionally, he is responsible for development, implementation, and coordination of water-conservation and water-quality best management practices on behalf of the Association’s growers.  He acts as the liaison between FFVA’s agricultural members and the State’s Water Management Districts, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the State’s Office of Agricultural Water Policy, local municipalities, and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Water.  Kerry holds bachelor’s degrees in both geology and civil engineering from the University of Florida, is a registered engineer within the state of Florida, and is also a LEED accredited professional.  Prior to joining FFVA, he spent a large part of his career as a project manager in civil site land development for a national engineering firm.
