Alyssa Vander Woude is a second-year student at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, working towards her Agribusiness B.S. degree. She is the third of six children and grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Merced, California, which is what sparked her interest in and passion for agriculture. Growing up, she was involved in 4-H and FFA: showing animals, raising a small flock of breeding sheep, serving on officer teams, attending conferences, and competing in speaking competitions. Since being at Cal Poly, she has involved herself in a variety of clubs and activities including the Agribusiness Management Club, the Los Lecheros Dairy Club, and the Crops Club. She is currently working as an accounting assistant for a local firm in the wine grape industry and hopes to find a career within the realm of ag finance.

Alyssa is seeking internship opportunities. She will be pursuing further education before looking for full-time employment.
