Justin Leslie is a United States Army Veteran and currently a senior at North Carolina A&T State University majoring in Agribusiness and Food Industry Management with a minor in Supply Chain Management.

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Leslie also spent a plethora of weekends and summers on his grandfather's farm in Sparta, GA which fostered his interest in agriculture. Sparta is the city in and the county seat of Hancock County Georgia with a population of approximately 10,000 people county wide. Once old enough to leave, most people never come back causing the county population to steadily decline over the last 50 years. This decline has motivated Leslie to teach people about the relevance of agriculture in rural communities. Due to the social disadvantages his grandfather and many other minorities have faced historically and currently in the agriculture sector, Leslie is inspired to use his voice to speak for minority farmers who came before him and for the farmers who don’t have the resources to speak for themselves today. The planting field must be leveled for all people to exceed.
