Spring Duffey is the Executive Director of the McHenry-Lake County Soil & Water Conservation District and has been with the District for 23 years. She is also the Wetland Specialist for the McHenry County Planning & Development-Water Resources-Stormwater Division and has been in that role since December of 2011. Spring holds a B.S. in Watershed Management and Soil Science from UW – Stevens Point and is a McHenry County Certified Wetland Specialist. Spring was named the 2018 Illinois Soil & Water Conservation Districts Employee of the Year, is a recipient of the National Association of Conservation Districts-North Central States-Chairman’s Award and was awarded a Local Government Shared Service Best Practices Award by the State of Illinois. She loves spending time with her husband and two girls, hunting, and donating blood as she tackles a multiflora rose infestation on her 20-acre hideaway.
