Lisa Moon is President & CEO of The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN), an international development organization committed to nourishing the world’s hungry through uniting and advancing food banking organizations in more than 40 countries. GFN connects a trusted network of local food recovery organizations that improve food access for approximately 40M people facing hunger each year. Through offering expertise, financing, sharing knowledge, and fostering connections, GFN addresses hunger and reduces food loss and waste through enhancing food redistribution, with a special focus on communities in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Prior to joining GFN in 2016, Lisa led the agriculture and food work at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs where she conducted studies and policy dialogues on the role of agriculture in emerging economies, the nexus between agriculture and health, the pressures water scarcity and climate change will place on the food system, and the role food prices play in advancing social stability. She has a Master of Arts in Security Policy Studies from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts from Bradley University. Lisa serves on the board of the European Food Banks Federation and is a fellow at the Farm Foundation Roundtable.
