Graham Gilchrist is a Professional Agrologist and serves as the CEO of the Canadian Institute for Biological Carbon, commonly known as Biological
Carbon Canada TM. He brings to this position 30 years' worth of experience serving the needs of rural Alberta and British Columbia.
Graham started his carbon journey as the Assistant Farmers' Advocate when in 2007, the Office first heard about 'this carbon contract'. He successfully guided the development and creation of rules for the aggregation industry, bringing practical evidence into the protocol development process and advising several Ministries on carbon policy.
As CEO since 2017, he has built the non-profit into a hub of information for industry and farmers. He continues to advocate for carbon markets and the farm management needed for farms to participate in this new commodity marketplace. In addition, he serves as one of the technical advisors to Environment Canada for protocol development.
Graham is also proud to serve as an independent director for the Alberta Federation of Agriculture.
Graham holds a license to practice agrology in Alberta and British Columbia and is a registered investigator for Alberta.
