Sarah Dean is Global Public Policy Manager for John Deere. In this role, she is responsible for managing the company’s international trade, business development, environmental and regulatory policy issues in support of the company’s strategic ambitions.

Sarah joined John Deere in 2009. Prior to her current position, Sarah was Senior Manager, International Affairs from 2018-2020 and Manager of International Affairs from 2011-2018. From 2010-2011, she served as Project Manager, International Affairs and Economics in the Office of the Chief Economist. From 2009-2010, she was responsible for defining how the company discovers, monitors, and understands emerging issues around the world.

Before joining John Deere, Sarah spent four years working – principally in London and Washington, DC – on international development initiatives in Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the CIS.

Sarah is on the Board of Directors of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC), serves as the Chair of the Board of the US-Turkmenistan Business Council (USTBC), and is on the Executive Committee of the US-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC).

She earned a Masters in Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a BA in History and African Studies from Colby College.
