Sarah Atkinson has worked at USDA within the Farm Production and Conservation Business Center (FPAC BC) since 2020.  Her research examines agricultural credit mechanisms and farm financial management strategy, with a particular focus on the FSA guaranteed loan program.  Prior to this she worked at Bureau of Economic Analysis within the International Branch researching Foreign Direct Investment after recieving a Ph.D in Agricultural Economics Purdue University in 2016.   
She grew up in San Jose, California, and currently resides with her husband in Waldorf, Maryland.  They enjoy exploring the local area, watching movies together, and being active members of their local church.
