Alix’s work focuses on packaging and material sustainability concerns, including biobased materials, plastic pollution, and circular systems. She endorses using a systems approach to packaging and material decisions, balancing all impacts and tradeoffs to achieve real benefits to people and nature. Alix advises the private sector to set smart, impactful goals by leading on a number of initiatives, including the Bioplastic Feedstock Alliance (BFA), and ReSource: Plastic. Alix serves as the WWF technical lead for Project Reboot, which aims to prevent plastic pollution through upstream and midstream solutions. Alix holds a BS and MS in Packaging from Michigan State University, where her graduate studies focused on Life Cycle Inventory Data Quality for Bioplastic Feedstocks.
