Dan Volkers serves as the manager of the McHenry County Farm Bureau, a non-for-profit membership organization that includes 750 farm members and an additional 7,700 associate members. The county is diverse in its agricultural production; it has traditional grain & livestock farms, sod farms, nurseries, vegetable production and orchards.

Volkers grew up on a grain and livestock farm in the Northwest corner of Illinois. In 1999, he graduated from Illinois State University and began his career with Farm Bureau. In his position, he oversees the day-to-day operations, programs, and related activities of the organization. He also provides management services to the County Farm Bureau’s Agricultural Education Foundation and its Political Action Committee.
