Description

All attendees that will join the tour should meet in the Coral Reef Ballroom by 7:15 a.m. for the tour briefing. The busses will leave promptly at 7:40 a.m.

Centered around the Belle Glade, Florida, Everglades agricultural area, our tour will include farm visits to see planting and harvesting of in-season produce: lettuces, sweet corn, radishes, green beans, sod, and sugar cane grown on muck soil; lunch featuring Tellus products (compostable dinnerware made from sugarcane byproducts) and with presentations on Florida water quality issues; post-lunch tours of produce packing houses, coolers, and other exciting stops. Our final tour stop will be at the Palm Beach Polo Club in Wellington, Florida, where we will learn about the Florida equine industry and join with other Round Table Fellows for a dinner reception in recognition of our Honorary Life Fellows.

Tour attendees should bring/wear: a mask, closed toed shoes, and long pants. A light jacket and sunscreen are also recommended.
Farm Foundation will supply water and some snacks.
