Join Packaging and sustainability experts from Europe and the United States in Brussels on 4 May for a lunch and discussion about the opportunities and challenges posed by the European Commission's proposed Packing and Packing Waste Regulation (PPWR). This special events is hosted by Packing Europe and Farm Foundation, with support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The European Commission published the proposed PPWR on 30 November 2022. At this in-person event, visiting American packaging experts and European panelists will share their insights on the proposed regulation with an eye on the future of the PPWR and related sustainability initiatives.
The PPWR is an ambitious plan to tackle the growing problem of packaging waste EU-wide. Its provisions will have global effect on manufacturers, consumers, farmers, shippers, and trading partners, including requiring consumer brands to make significant changes to their packaging. Please join us for this discussion under Chatham House rules about the implications of the proposed regulation and how innovation can help overcome the challenges of transitioning to more sustainable packaging.
